Nada received her B.Sc. in medical laboratory studies from the Technion in Haifa. Her M.Sc. was completed in the Institute of Evolution at the University of Haifa. During her M.Sc. degree studies she joined the Institute of Genetics at Ha’emek Medical Center in the Molecular Genetics lab and one year later she became active in the Genetics Clinic as a genetic counselor. Currently she is a Ph.D. student in Karen Avraham’s laboratory, with joint advisor Prof. Stavit Shalev. Her challenge is to bridge between basic science research and medicine by addressing novel genes and mutations involved in hearing loss among families from Northern Israel, including different ethnic groups, by using Next-generation sequencing.
